As usual, the left has it exactly wrong.
The fact is that the voter counts ran like this;
Those who call themselves Religious and attend Church at least once per month voted almost to a man, in the same percentages they did in 2000.
What changed was the voting margins of thsoe who do NOT call themselves religious... those voting for Bush were up by some 4% over 2000.
Funny how the facts get in the way of a good rant, huh?
