Why I Love This Man

George W. Bush will go down in history as a great President. Why? Well, W. sees a few things that even Ronald Reagan did not. W. was the first US president to see Yasser Arafat as an obstacle, rather than a conduit, to peace in the Middle East. For almost 40 years Ararat sat across the table and looked into the eyes of a slew of Israeli prime ministers. Golda Mayer, Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Perez, etc., etc., Yasser could find no common ground with any of them. For 40 years he told the West in English he wanted peace while urging his people in Arabic too kill Jews and drive them into the sea. It’s been clear to anyone who ignored our MSM and cared to look into it, that Arafat never had the slightest intention to share Palestine with the Jews. He could not sign on to the Camp David deal because the whole thing was a ruse he was forced into by a dogged Bill Clinton. Clinton had unwittingly called Arafat’s bluff, so Arafat made a quick exit. (of course not before making off with tons of US money, Israeli weapons, world acclaim, and a Nobel Peace prize). From W.’s first days in office, the number one White House visitor of the preceding administration, was no longer welcome. Bush plainly told Arafat to fuck off. Had no other president ever thought to do that before? Apparently not, and if they did, they did not have the stomach to deal with the screams of indignation that would inevitably spew from France, most of Europe, the UN, the MSM, etc. For W., on the other hand, it was a no brainer. He saw what needed to be done and did it. Same thing with the UN. Bush sees it for what it is; a corrupt, pointless, anti-Semitic debating club. 60% of it’s resolutions are condemnations of Israel. The UN sponsors Islamist hate festivals all around the 3rd world (that our MSM ignores). They allow countries like Syria to chair “human rights commissions” that regularly not only single out Israel, but the US as well, as the worst offenders. Bush looks at this cesspool of Islamism, Socialism, corruption and hypocrisy with the contempt that it is due. Unlike the presidents before him, he has no use for the subtleties and nuances that the Left puts forward in the UN’s defense. (peace, love, cumbaya, etc.) The UN is what it is. Bush, sees that.

He is the first president ever to say exactly what he thinks, and polls, and yes, the rest of the world; be damned. He told the world “You’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists”, and like everything else he says; he means it. The Left despises him for this because “he does not seem to comprehend” the “subtleties” of international diplomacy. I think he does, it’s just that he refuses to call bullshit anything other than what it is. He will not, like many of his predecessors (Carter), prance around it pretending it’s not there, so as not to offend, and keep diplomacy going. That’s just who he is, and it’s about time we had a president with balls. Did diplomacy ever avert a war? I don’t think so. The pacifist Left believes that feuding countries or ideologies are like feuding old friends; just get them in a room and force them to shake hands, and it’ll be over. Our president understands the naivety of that line of thinking. I too wish that all people were inherently good and that hate and murder were just distant echoes of human evolution, but I’m not stupid enough to think that wishing so.. makes it so.
Reagan believed that the way to win the cold war was not thru diplomacy, treaties, freezes, summits, and wishful thinking. He believed the way to win was through military strength and resolve. He was a visionary not to accept the concept of “mutually assured destruction” as the best and only way to assure peace. Naturally the Left branded him a “war monger”. History has vindicated Reagan, but he was just as hated by the Left then as Bush is now, and for exactly the same reasons.
As example I give you France, currently tripping all over itself to help Arafat in his time of need. They’re flying him to Paris, where he’ll get the best health care France has to offer. "France will be always on your side to back your effort in favor of a just and negotiated peace," -- French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier. I’d rather be dead than to see my country kneel before the Islamist scum like France does regularly. Was Kerry licking his lips during the debates in anticipation of the ass kissing he plans once elected? Whatever. I want no part of it!

Actually Kerry does have a secret plan to return the US to good standing in the international community. It’s: Sell Israel down the river. Boy, they’d love us then. He’s right, they would. Bush would never do that, and that’s why I admire and love him. He is a man of America while Kerry is a man who wants to be elected.

Finally, the Left uses this clip to ridicule our president, but I see it as an affirmation of his humanity. As a young man W. was drinking, partying, trying to get laid, as many normal young men do. Kerry was in Vietnam with a 16 mm film camera, parading around pretending to be JFK.
I have a big problem with people, like Kerry who, having met the real JFK, decide they’re going to become president. Why? It indicates a large ego and arrogance. To me, wanting to become president from youth is like wanting to be a rock star; it usually isn’t about the music. It’s all about glory, money, and chicks. I felt that way about Clinton and I see no difference with Kerry. It’s not about “us” to these types it’s all about “them”. Compare a man like Pat Tillman to the poseur Kerry, and you'll understand my contempt.

I don’t want a politically correct “diplomat” as my president. I want this guy. An honest man who has no patience with bullshit of any kind, whether it comes from enemies or allies.

Finally, here’s a treat for us Bush fans to enjoy.

You need Quiktime and/or Windows Media Player to see the above clips, so if you don’t have either, you can download Quiktime here, and Windows Media Player for Mac here.

While I may add more thoughts to this post, it is my last until after the election: that I guarantee we’re going to win, by the way.. baby!

The crybabys will eat crow in 4 years when Iraq and Afghanistan are peaceful, democratic allies of the west. Will they remember then that they opposed everything this president did? Hell no! Just like they’ve forgotten that Reagan dragged them kicking and screaming to victory over the Soviet Union.
