Bush Won Election Last Night
A comment to a concerned friend:
Bush not only won the debate but won the election tonight. He was more that even with Kerry when he suddenly delivered the death blow, and the election, with his response to the faith question. He said [paraphrasing]:
“My faith plays a big part in my life. I pray a lot. I pray for strength, for wisdom, for troops in harm's way, for my family, for my girls. Prayer and religion sustain me. I receive calmness in the storms of the presidency. I love that people pray for me. God wants everybody to be free.” (I could almost hear the mocking laughter in the Left-wing cesspools like San Francisco, L.A. and New York)
I myself am an atheist, but this spoke to me… big time. I suspect it spoke to America too. He suddenly elevated himself far above the religion hating Left, and in the process won many hearts and minds. (Despite Kerry’s lame assertions that he’s a good Catholic just like the real JFK)
The Left’s miscalculation is that America, like Europe, hates religion (particularly Christianity) and religious people, just like they do. Big mistake. That’s why they’ll all be scratching their heads in disbelief as they learn of Kerry’s resounding defeat in the early hours of Nov. 3rd, 2004.
Here’s my prediction: Bush will not only win, he’ll win big! Bush will carry 35 states. Naïve? (Yeah, I know what the polls say today).. But ask that of the Howard supporters in Australia.

Mark, did you miss the sleazy reference to Chaney’s lesbian daughter? How low is that? Does Mary Chaney deserve this? No! I hope the MSM calls him out on this tomorrow. I hope she calls a press conference and kicks his balls in for using her sexuality to promote his bullshit agenda.

If you like some of the stuff on his website (Breathed)...you might want to check out some of the old "Bloom County" collections. Stories center around a number of children and animals (Opus is one) who run a small newspaper covering the the 80s White House. He is a liberal democrat, but so damn talented that I forgive him!
I like your prediction here. My only concern is that the impact of the debate might have be weakened by the baseball playoffs, the fact that the oonly people watching the debates are likely fans of one of the candidates, and, lastly, viewership is way down on the last debate.
"W" kicked but though!

Mark, thanks for solving my tie mystery. That's been bugging me and the color thing makes sense.

Thanks for the post to my own little blog (not really that popular, for which I'm actually grateful, and yes I agree, Bush did kick butt. I tried to watch it as objectively as I could however with as little comment from outside sources as possible to get my own opinion on it. At first I thought Kerry was well spoken, then I realized he was babbling and I hadn't absorbed a single thing he said.
Though i remember the lesbian comment, becuase I found it tasteless right off the bat. That is the one thing I really remember about the debate (well, other then the obvious bias by the moderator), and because I have such a negative impact from that one question, I have a negative feel toward him.
I don't think Kerry helped himself last night at all.
Interesting insight.
Mark, I like the way you think.

Both Kerry and Edwards were losing a debate and pulled out their "holy hand-grenade". Tossing Cheney's daughter in the middle of the fray. How many people are these hucksters going to use in their failed attempt at the white house? They even dragged Michael J Fox to the debate. I am sure they thouht about putting Superman's body on ice and wheeling it into the debate.
From Heidi in PortlandRead this about religion in America. You do read the Daily Howler, right?
The Left doesn't hate religion, just religious hypocrites.
